GinchyPrints creates artwork that sits somewhere between photography and illustration.

Each Ginchy print begins with a photograph — either one of ours or one submitted by a customer — and is developed in the same considered Ginchy style: a real moment captured through the lens, then reworked into a clean, graphic composition.

Creating your own Ginchy print and choosing a piece from the collection are two equal expressions of the same idea.

Our work brings together an interest in photography, a simple graphic style of artwork and, above all, judgement about what makes a photograph worth framing.

The process is intentionally restrained: composition is preserved, detail is simplified, colour is controlled and the overall feel is calm, balanced and timeless.

We look at each photograph properly, make thoughtful adjustments where they help, and send a considered proof for you to approve before anything is printed.

The work is quietly influenced by mid-century travel posters — particularly the clarity and confidence of 1950s design — though it is by no means limited to travel scenes.

That influence appears in flat, graphic shapes, muted colour palettes, strong composition, visual balance and a focus on clarity over decoration.

Every piece is designed with its final form in mind: a framed print on a wall.

The name GinchyPrints is a quiet nod to the 1950s slang term ‘ginchy’ — a word used to describe something stylish, appealing or just a little bit special.

It reflects the mid-century influence behind the work and the intention to create pieces that feel both timeless and distinctive.
